Antibes

Antibes is a city and seaside resort located between Cannes and Nice, on the Côte d'Azur. It is known for its old town surrounded by 16th century ramparts which house the star-shaped fort Carré. This overlooks the luxury yachts moored at the Vauban marina. A wooded peninsula dotted with sumptuous villas, the Cap d'Antibes separates Antibes from Juan-les-Pins, a chic seaside resort with lively nightlife and hosting the Jazz à Juan music festival.

Antibes is located on the Mediterranean coast, 205 km east of Marseille (regional capital), 23 km southwest of Nice (regional capital), 15 km southeast of Grasse (capital of the arrondissement) and about 10 km east of Cannes. Its population places it in third position in the Alpes-Maritimes department.

The city is located north of Cap d'Antibes, with a seafront facing the Baie des Anges and Nice, clearly visible to the east. The East of Cape offers sandy beaches, called for the nearest La Salis, then the beach of Gravette, nestled at the foot of the ramparts, Beyond the Fort Carré, extends to Villeneuve-Loubet, the pebble beach of the Fort. To the west of this cape, Juan-les-Pins, a seaside resort administratively attached to Antibes, offers sandy beaches facing south and a view of the Lérins Islands. This seaside district is articulated on the beaches and the port of Golfe Juan.
